Overview
We all encounter challenges in our daily lives that at times can be difficult to manage. In this time of intersecting crises, Interbeing Wellness offers practices that acknowledge Healing Ourselves is intertwined with Healing Others and Healing our Planet.
Need for ‘ Healing Ourselves’
We all encounter stress in our daily lives that at times can be difficult to manage – affecting the health of our body, mind, emotions and spirit. This is especially timely as everyone is being challenged by the polycrises: such as climate change, biodiversity loss, economic insecurity and political unrest. In addition, many people have experienced traumatic stress due to circumstances such as: school/workplace pressure, prolonged illness/injuries, mental/physical abuse, bullying, conflicts, environmental disasters, poverty, racism and other forms of oppression.
Professional mental health care has limits because it is accessible to only a few. Practical approaches are needed that can help people. The Interbeing Wellness programs provide online experiential education. Through skill-based practices, participants learn how these techniques can empower us to care for our health and wellbeing despite what is occurring around us.
